REHABILITATION

MoveR is an immersive therapy for rehabilitation that addresses patients suffering from learning and perception disorders, usable from the age of 6 without the need for a virtual reality headset. The tool offers a functional treatment complementary to traditional therapy. The work is binocular, multimodal, and exploits the complementarity between central and peripheral vision.

MoveR is used for the rehabilitation of patients with the following conditions:

  • Attentional disorders with or without hyperactivity
  • Autism spectrum disorders
  • Coordination disorders
  • Written language disorders
  • Visual field disorders
  • Vergence disorders
  • Visio-vestibular disorders
  • Balance disorders, fear of falling in the elderly

MoveR must be used by and under the supervision of a professional therapist.

The Device

An immersive wall

The device turns one of your existing walls into a large 3D interactive immersion zone without a virtual reality headset. You maintain contact with your patient throughout the session.

A catalog of experiences

We’re constantly updating our catalog to meet your needs and expectations. The experiences on offer address a wide range of rehabilitation needs.

Playful for patients

MoveR’s gamified, immersive experiences can get your patients’ attention and involvement at a much higher level than traditional tools.

MoveR is adaptable to all office settings. A floor space of 2.5 meters wide in front of the display is recommended, as some experiences involve patient movement. The projection surface can be an existing wall or, if necessary, a manual or motorized retractable screen.

MoveR is provided ready to use; our teams handle the implementation study, equipment supply, installation, training, and maintenance.

MoveR includes a catalog of experiences, as well as a platform for exchange and communication between therapists and the development team. The catalog currently includes 12 applications, with 3 new ones added every year – in addition to regular software updates.

A collaborative solution

Using MoveR also means participating in its ongoing evolution. MoveR is a collaborative solution, where your needs and requests as a therapist are taken into account and integrated into the software by our development team.

They talk about MoveR

Charlotte Gibert, a freelance orthoptist at the Clinique de l’Europe in Rouen, has been using MoveR intensively for over 4 years in the treatment of learning and reading disorders.

“The principle of the experiments proposed by MoveR is to take charge of the visual constraints found (according to the TVPs4 manual) in diagnosed learning disorders such as dyslexia, ADD and CDD. Thanks to Mixed Reality, MoveR stimulates the neuro-visual system intensely, making it possible to work at distances close to visual infinity. MoveR’s multimodal approach also makes it possible to work simultaneously on different sensory inputs (visual, vestibular, auditory) to anchor learning. MoveR is also designed to be fun for the patient in order to maximize attention and interest during sessions”.

Thierry Guillot, a masseur-physiotherapist specializing in vestibular rehabilitation at the Pôle Vertiges et Equilibre, uses MoveR to reduce visual dependency in balance disorders.

The experiments proposed by MoveR address the following cases Reduction of visual dependence in vestibular disorders. MoveR experiments create a sensory conflict to stimulate somaesthesia and the vestibular system. Encouraging the user to perform movements in response to the therapist’s choices: by picking up virtual objects or avoiding obstacles in a scrolling path.”

Patient stories

MoveR was first tested for 1 year in orthoptic practices, with over 60 patients and more than 900 sessions, as part of the treatment of learning and reading disorders. The results were unanimous: MoveR systematically produced improvement in every patient.

“Here is what I noticed after the 9 neuro-visual reeducation sessions carried out in June and July 2020: reading a text in French and looking up words in the dictionary is no longer a difficult activity for Lilian.(…) Lilian got the best mark in the class in an evaluation that included a part with course questions but also a text to read and understand to find the different phases of structuring a story!”  Hélène B.

“Alyss attended orthoptic sessions with Charlotte Gibert. As parents, we appreciated the relationship and the materials used, and we were especially pleasantly surprised by the speed of Alyss’ progress. She really enjoyed coming to her sessions and seeing her progress.” Laetitia B.

“Emie had never received orthoptic treatment before Charlotte Gibert and MoveR.She has fully embraced the virtual reality rehabilitation tools; she is excited to see Charlotte at every appointment, and the fact that she can progress while having fun makes her even more excited. For her, these tools are like games. Emie’s reading is more fluent; she marks punctuation better.” Sabine M.
